This spacious oceanfront, two-level penthouse has it all: marble floors, granite counter-tops and walls of glass giving panoramic views of the Caribbean. Sliding glass doors open on to wrap-around terraces that have tables and chairs, lounges and hammocks, from which you can enjoy both ocean sunrises and jungle sunsets.
The Kitchen, living and dining area is a huge open plan space enclosed by two walls of glass giving guests a 180 degree view of the ocean.
The well-stocked kitchen with large wrap around granite counter top and bar, allows you to enjoy the ocean view and entertain while you prepare meals or mix drinks. Beyond the kitchen area is the entertainment center with a 43-inch TV on which you can watch your choice of over 100 DVDs, a stereo and CDs, games and a large selection of books and tourist guides. The glass top dining table is up a step, and overlooks both the ocean and Akumal Bay. You can leave the glass sliders open to enjoy the Caribbean breezes or simply eat outside at the table on the terrace.
Master bedroom
Located on the upper level this honeymoon suite has a beamed cathedral ceiling, air conditioning, king size bed, glass sliders to a private ocean front terrace, built in closets and vanity, and an en-suite stone bathroom. The bathroom has double vessel sinks and a unique private open-air shower with views of the jungle and bay.
Bedroom 1
The Iguana room on the lower level; has air conditioning, a king size bed, built in closet, small balcony overlooking the jungle and large window with ocean views. En-suite tiled bathroom.
Bedroom 2
The Dolphin room also on the lower level; has air conditioning, one queen and one full bed, built in closet, with small balcony overlooking the jungle. En-suite tiled bathroom which has an extra door to the hall.
The penthouse unit is on the third and fourth floor and is only accessible by stairs (30) it also has low walls/open railings surrounding the terraces, so young children need to be supervised. Rental includes daily maid service (except Sundays) and 24-hour on site caretakers who will help you with your luggage.
The common areas include a large infinity pool, shaded open lobby, lounge chairs and gazebo, and parking spaces.
Cancellations made 60 days or more in advance of scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund.

Summary: Our stay was absolutely beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice! We had 2 children (pre-teens) and six adults ranging from 30's to 60's. The condos location was absolutely perfect. We could walk to half moon bay and Akumal bay! We didnt need a rental car which was great. We did rent a golf cart which was handy for some of us who didn't want to walk everywhere. There were Aa variety of great restaurants and little markets in walking distance. The condo itself is so much prettier and bigger in person. Absolutely gorgeous!! Great pool, beautiful, clean property. The gardeners are amazing and Maria, the housekepper, is outstanding.The staff here are the friendliest and most accomidating people i've met! They really go above and beyond. Some of the residents here stay for a few months our of the year and they were so kind and helpful to us! The host was extremely responsive and accomidating to our needs.There is a guard on duty 24/7 and we felt so safe here! The town akumal was a perfect family destination. Best VRBO I've ever stayed in!

Summary: Can’t say enough about how excellent the stay was. Francisco and Maria were the best. Our host Rosemary was great. Informative, timely responses, great recommendations. The condo its self was perfect. Excellent space, great views, relaxing. A great place to start and end your day or just spend all day relaxing. Summary: Myself, husband, sister in law and six children stayed for a week in this beautiful spacious home! Location was perfect with easy access to restaurants and daily activities! The house was exactly as described and we had no issues all week long. Property grounds were so nice, security 24/7, we felt safe with all our children. Lots to do in the area. Pool and views were unforgettable!
